The 2010/11 Limerick Desmond Schoolboys/Girls League season kicked off on Thursday, August 19th with action in the U/16 leagues with the renaining start up dates as follows: U/10s and U/14s start on Saturday, September 11th and the U/8’s and U/12’s commencing on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 14th & 15th.

U-16s: Glantine 7 – 2 Pallaskenry
The U-16s had an impressive win at home on Thursday evening with a comfortable win over Pallaskenry. After 2 narrow defeats to St. Ita's & Glin it was important that we got a win. The lads started very nervy despite taking an early lead from a Fiachra Cotter looping shot. The visitors scored 2 goals in quick succession but all credit to the lads they responded well & scored 4 goals before half time to give us a 5-2 lead. The lads continued there attaching display in the second half adding 2 more goals & could have scored a few more. This was a much improved performance with the lads playing some great stuff at times. Well done to all the lads. Goals were scored by Fiachra Cotter 5 who was out
